Once logged in to realsmart you will find yourself at the dock. Here’s a screenshot of how your dock may look; here you can see the profile photo and the four main icons: ‘my learning’, ‘my content’, ‘my profile’ and the ‘postbox’. The new callout help balloons should give you all the help you need while in the dock, but if you do require further assistance, just click on the questionmark icon at the top right of the toolbar at any time to bring you to this help page.

The create strip

The create strip is found as a pop-out menu on the left of all pages within the dock. Simply roll over the ‘create’ tab and the create tools will slide into view. Choose to build an rmap, rweb, rafl, rcast or rpassport from here.

As a learner: In ‘my content’ you can view all the items you have created; these are listed in the left hand panel. You can filter your items in the right hand panel by type or by tag; for example you can view just rwebs by clicking the rweb icon in the left panel. The tags are shown below the icons and can be sorted alphabetically or by popularity.

As a mentor: In ‘my content’ you can view:

  • Items that you have created.
  • Items that mentors in other schools have given you access to.
  • Items that mentors in other sites have given you access to.
  • Items recommended by smartassess.

‘my profile’ allows you to edit your personal settings.

  • Change your profile picture.
  • Change your password.
  • Use the different skins.
  • Change your success icons.
  • Change the color and style of your rafls.
  • Turn on help bubbles.
