We have recently updated smartadmin to make managing your data even easier. The following guide will help you to understand the new settings and what they do.
This adds all teachers that are in a class group in the MIS (If available) to the realsmart group rather than just main classroom teacher. For example where more than one teacher is assigned to a class, shared classes, etc.
Switching this function off will remove secondary teachers on the next sync.
Contact realsmart to request this.
Groups are user defined groups found in for example….KS3, or Extra Curricular groups.
Switching this function on will create many additional groups from the data stored in your MIS. Please check with your data team that this is appropriate some schools store confidential groups in the MIS?
Switching off this function will suspend the groups on the next sync.
Creates a Google Calendar containing timetabled classes as events. Linked to the timetable in your school MIS
Switching off timetable sync will delete all teacher timetable calendars.

Add available rooms to Google Calendar as a room resource
Switching off this function will stop further synchronisation of available rooms to Google Calendar
Creates google classroom courses, one course for every group in your MIS.
When Google Classroom Sync is switched on this means that all of your student Data from Google will be synced with realsmart admin. This includes email addresses, MIS Data etc.
Classroom is set to archive all classes on 1st August each year and create new classes on 1st September. If you’d like to modify these dates you can do so by contacting our support team support@realsmart.co.uk
Switching off this function will prevent further synchronisation and updating of groups though they will remain active in Google classroom.
